As a high-molecular-weight cationic single-component epoxy latex with nano-sized particles, it is fabricated via a special process. Specifically designed for road emulsified asphalt modification, it shows great compatibility with cationic emulsified asphalt. When blended with cationic emulsified asphalt, a micro-island phase structure forms, enhancing adhesion, water resistance, rolling resistance, and anti-sticking to wheels. With a chain-extending high molecular weight design, it has a high softening point and performance comparable to conventional two-component epoxy. It offers high permeability, adhesion, and water resistance, boosting rolling resistance and anti-sticking to wheels and extending the service life of emulsified asphalt. It has excellent permeability and adhesiveness to new and old concrete, asphalt roads, and metal substrates like steel, suitable for road substrate and steel bridge deck substrate treatments. EP-803 has good compatibility with cement mortar. The resulting epoxy cement mortar has high strength, abrasion resistance, and adhesive properties, recommended for preparing epoxy mortar patching/leveling and colored pavement materials.
